Team Skint Racing started life as a 2006 R6 Road bike. Once the 600 Mile first service was done the decision was taken to race the bike. After a small accident when 1/2 the track parts were already bought led to a small delay in the bike being ready.

The owner of the bike had started in April going to watch the opening round of the KRC Endurance championship. A local bike shop that the owner had bought parts from before, Alfs Motorcycles, had a team in this championship.

The aim was to race the 2006 R6 at the final round at Pembrey on the 10th September but due to not having all the correct parts in time this had to be written off. However all was not lost as 2007 would see the entrance of Team Skint Racing.
